Emery Emery of the Ardent Atheist podcast asks people "who believe what PZ Myers' did was wrong" to "express [their] disgust" by donating to the legal fund he set up for Michael Shermer. In a message from Shermer that is later posted on the donation page, he states that he is aware and in support.
The Center for Inquiry announces that the Women in Secularism 3 conference will be held on May 16-18, 2014 in Alexandria, Virginia.
Following the cease-and-desist letter sent by Michael Shermer's legal representative earlier that day, PZ Myers states that he will not be speaking about the matter publicly further and that Popehat's Ken White is working with him on obtaining legal counsel.

In post on the Center for Inquiry blog, Ronald Lindsay posts his letter to Scientific American in full, along with the following information:
On August 8, I wrote to the relevant editors at Scientific American after Dr. Karen Stollznow posted her blog piece about sexual harassment. I did so because Dr. Stollznow’s piece contained several inaccuracies, which were repeated in blogs and then showed up in letters to me. These inaccuracies are damaging to the reputation of the Center for Inquiry, an organization to which I have a fiduciary obligation. I asked Scientific American to issue an apology and make three specific corrections. I did not ask for the post to be removed. In my view, it would have been preferable if it had remained posted, but with the corrections. Scientific American decided otherwise. My email to Scientific American appears below.
PZ Myers states that he has no "direct, personal evidence" but that the accuser is known to him and vouched by one other woman he trusts.
Former Communications Director for the James Randi foundation Carrie Poppy releases a letter published on PZ Myers' blog that discusses the treatment she received from it's President DJ Grothe.
While declining to confirm or deny due to a refusal to discuss personnel matters in public, a new page is published on the Center for Inquiry's site that states:
There have been blog posts recently that have commented on public allegations made by Karen Stollznow regarding harassment she suffered and what she considered a less than adequate response by the organization employing the harasser. These posts have named CFI as the organization in question and one of CFI’s employees as the accused harasser

In a post on the Scientific American blog, Karen Stollznow discusses her experience of reporting sexual harassment at an organization she worked with.
Ashley Paramore details sexual assault she suffered at TAM2012
In a video on her Youtube channel, Ashley Paramore discusses a sexual assault she experienced by an unnamed person at the TAM2012 Conference. According to Paramore, it was handled competently by organizers who removed the attacker and barred him from attending future conferences.
Chris Mooney, Indre Viskontas, and Adam Isaak, the two co-hosts and producer respectively of the Center for Inquiry podcast Point of Inquiry announce their resignation in protest of Ronald Lindsay's Women in Secularism 2 opening remarks and subsequent actions. Their resignation had been submitted to management the day before Ronald Lindsay's apology.
Women in Secularism 2 speakers Amy Davis Roth, Stephanie Zvan, Amanda Marcotte, Greta Christina, and Rebecca Watson accept Ronald Lindsay's apology for his opening remarks via posts on their respective blogs.
Following "a heartfelt apology in person to CFI staff and branch leaders", Ronald Lindsay publishes his apology for his opening remarks at the Women in Secularism 2 Conference on the Center for Inquiry's blog.
In a blog post on the conference website, Skepticon 6 organizer Lauren Lane announces that:
However, after witnessing the actions of one of our years long sponsors, the Center for Inquiry (CFI), it has come to our attention that, in order to uphold the values that we have come to embody and endorse, we will no longer accept their sponsorship.
Women in Secularism 2 speaker Stephanie Zvan announces she is will no longer donate to or otherwise support the Center for Inquiry national organization. Instead, she earmarks her previous monthly pledge to Melody Hensley's salary.
Women in Secularism 2 speaker Greta Christina announces she is cutting all of her ties with the Center for Inquiry's national office. This includes her Free Inquiry magazine column, returning her honorarium for the talk she gave at the Amherst headquarters the weekend prior, and also withdrawing as a speaker at the upcoming October conference in Tacoma, Washington. However, she expresses willingness to support or speak at any Center for Inquiry local branches that invite her.
Following the Center for Inquiry board's statement which "says nothing", Rebecca Watson withdraws her support for the Center for Inquiry and calls on others do the same.
