Throwback Thursday: Oh My Gotchi! Sweepstakes

A bedazzled Tamagotchi? Back in September, 2010 Bandai Namco US just released the TamaTown Tama-Go. As part of the marketing plan for North America run by Gina Delgadillo, the former Marketing Manager, Bandai Namco US ran a sweepstakes where fans could enter to win their very own blinged out TamaTown Tama-Go by entering their first name and email address, winners were contacted by email.

The single winner grand prize was not only a Swarovski blinged out TamaTown Tama-Go, but also six Swarovski encrusted Gotchi Figures, a TamaTown Carrying Case, and a $500 Toys”R”Us Gift Card. Impressive!

There were also five runner-up prizes which included one TamaTown Tama-Go, a set of six Gotchi Figures, and a TamaTown Carrying Case.

A good weekend

So going out yesterday was tough, as it is right now, but we went somewhere where I had less of a worry about family. It was calmer than usual. In one of the shops, me and my mother saw the person who helped us through the court process, and who understood the situation we were in. She told us some legal advice if the harassment doesn’t stop, but we decided not to take it unless we have to. The conversation was in English, as my mother isn’t fluent in Welsh, but it was still nice to talk to her. Also yesterday, I started on a language lesson in numbers in Esperanto, and plan to finish it tonight. I managed to get several things done, and this feels like a step towards recovery from this event.

I found an old Tamagotchi that I had since I was nine years old. The buttons don’t function, and I’m hoping to get it fixed, if I can get the right equipment (right size screwdriver and an effective way to clean it), or if not, see if I can find someone who can. I did buy one online, a Tama-Go brand with a Mametchi model, since the originals are so expensive. I hope I can get one of the new remake ones. Hope Clara enjoys it too.

Overall, it was a good couple of days, and it’s good to have good days every once in a while, especially in hard times like this. Tamagotchi.vn TamaTown Tama-Go Charging Modification

They’re back at it! Tamagotchi.vn, known for Tamagotchi modifications is always up to something really neat. This time? A modification to the 2010 Tamagotchi TamaTown Tama-Go that features a lithium ion rechargeable battery and a micro USB charging port! They note that they can also install a USB-C port instead. This is the perfect modification to fuel the added LED backlight that Tamagotchi.vn previously installed!

I sold these at abunai, they were sold out but luckily I still have a small batch I cut out for next time! I’ll be selling them at the next con as well. :) 

I’ve been thinking of turning them into keychains too, hmmmm! We’ll see what happens ;)

Sadly I had to remove the batteries out of TamaTown Tama-go because my 4u+ arrived and I couldn’t find my rechargeable ones. 😅😂 I’ll post pics of 4u+ later. I’m cooking at the moment.

Edit: Never mind, it brought batteries after they told me it wouldnt. YAY!
