1 & 10 - leatherandsaltybitters
Thanks for the ask, @leatherandsaltybitters! These were fun :)
1. Where is their favorite place to hang out in Vesuvia? Why?
Tamar likes to go down to the docks from time to time. The appeal isn’t with the location-- Ash Beach sends a chill down her spine each time she considers her old remains mingling in the sand underfoot. She goes for the company of a particular band of orphans she’s all but adopted as her own. Taking care of them is one of the few freedoms she feels she has.
10. Describe their magical abilities. What are they best at? Worst?
Conjuration: specifically, healing magic (jury’s still out on whether this counts as Necromancy-- magic experts help ya girl out). Tamar’s magic is tied to her voice. She has a few spells of varying intensity that she has put to song. They’re most effective with the aid of healing ingredients, but physical contact is usually enough for the spells to succeed.
Essence manipulation: basically the Arcanaverse’s version of a Waterbender.
Enchantment: very good at enchanting inanimate objects (fun fact: while apprenticing under Dr. Devorak, she used her magic on his instruments and materials to try and yield better results. He hated it.) She limits herself to her handpan drum and bathtub.
Divination: Tamar actually isn’t a strong diviner. She’s proficient enough to get by, but she primarily runs her shop on other services when Asra is away.
Necromancy: specifically, curses that manifest in real time. Because of her affinity for verbal magic/enchantment (and a gift from a Major Arcana), her post-resurrection magic has a more dangerous edge to it. Her raw, sporadic curses are powerful, but she’s terrified to ever hone this skill set. It goes against her personal code and she feels terrible when she uses it-- accidentally or not.
