Wade chuckled a little to himself, when he saw the message. He wasn’t sure what had come over him, but the prospect of spending time with the wolf was intriguing. They were natural enemies, but there was something about this one, that just drew him in to her. When he heard the knock at the door, he was there as fast as he could, and he opened it. He offered her a hand, as he smiled. “Well, hello, there,” he chuckled. “Welcome. Come on in.”

He stepped to the side for her, and watched her carefully. “I hope I wasn’t being to pushy,” he chuckled. “I just had a moment of spontaneity, and I wanted you here,” he said. “What can I say? I just go for it.” He chuckled a little bit, rubbing the back of his neck.

Honesty || Dakota & Tamara

Dakota was slightly nervous about having Tamara come over. They didn’t want to mess things up, but they couldn’t keep secrets from her. They knew that they needed to be honest with her. They knew they needed to open themselves up to her. they paced back and forth, as they tried to decide how to do this. They weren’t sure they wanted to open the door in their female form. That may be too much, after all. No, there had to be a better way to do this.

They decided on their male form, the form that Tamara was used to. They could bring the other side out if and when it was needed. They cleared their throat a little bit, flaring their nostrils as they waited for her to arrive. They had wine and some other treats out and about, before they headed to the door, catching her scent as they did so.

Jody wasn’t sure if it was a pet or a person, but he hadn’t seen Tamara in an awful long while. Things had simply gotten in the way. There had been an attraction for sure, even a possibility of more but... They’d gotten busy. Of course. That seemed to be Jody’s problem. Here, he was supposed to be able to be himself, people liked him-- they loved him here... and he kept burying himself in his work.

Secrets II Tam&Qhuinn

Tamara was feeling good. She felt good in her company, she was with a friend. She was safe. “Hey Qhuinn… May I… May I ask you something?” She asked, a bit embarrassed. “After.. Clay left… how long… How much time did you…” Tamara sighed, looking up, taking a sip of the coffee in front of her. “How long did it take for you to… have someone again? To feel like it was… Right… to… You know…” Tamara blushed, as her hands closed around the cup. “How long does it take to heal?”

Qhuinn was glad that she had invited Tam over for coffee. It had been ages since the two had really had a chance to talk, and after the events of the dance, she really needed a girl friend right about now. And could sense that Tam did too. That was the good thing about a heart to heart between two empaths: something nothing had to be said at all to understand each other. She smiled a little at the others question, running a finger along the lip of her own mug. “Honestly? Because you’ll know if I’m lying” she smirked a bit. “Not as long as it probably should have. I was..so numb. In so much pain, because Clay and I had been pretty much broken up months before he left. I wanted to feel something, anything. I don’t regret it, Liam and Barry were really good to me. But I don’t think I was ready. As far as falling in love again goes..” she trailed off then, looking at Tamara. “What’s going on, something happen with you and Ste?” she asked delicately.

Dark Night [Colton & Tam]

Colton sat in his booth at the bar, a bottle of wine on the table and a half full glass accompanying him as he read the latest book in his list of books to get caught up on. This time he was reading Lolita, a book he’d missed in the past, but was currently trying to catch up on some of the more important books, or at least what people considered important. As he looked up from his book he noticed someone else sitting and reading the same book. He caught eyes with her and gave her a small nod, lifting his book slightly to acknowledge their shared interest in the book.

Dhani didn’t really keep track of how many beers he’d had, but he had only bought four and all his bottles seemed to be empty. Four? Yeah, four. He’d have to remember to gather them up when he was ready to leave, if he didn’t fall asleep here first. He felt tired. And the rush of the waterfall was perfect white noise.

There weren’t many places one could go, if one was a slave, to be alone and drink and try and self medicate the existence of being a slave on the island. The beach and the waterfall were basically it. Two places being drunk was largely considered a dangerous thing to do. But Dhani wasn’t concerned with the water, he could swim better than most, he reasoned. He did have a little concern over the uncomfortable rush and harsh stop against the stone wall surrounding the waterfall and the little glade it created.

He gasped, wincing at the stone digging into his back, looking to the person infront of him who had done so. She was very pretty, whoever she was. He’d seen her around, of course, and thought so, he remembered. He remembered her lips. How he thought he’d never seen anyone with a mouth quite like hers, the way it made her front teeth look a little bigger. Or maybe they were. Oh, they were. He could tell now. She was so close to him. He liked her lips. The perfect permanent pout. They reminded him...
