Jody huffed annoyed with Steele beingā¦ rather threatening about being annoyed. He wasnāt happy with it, but if the islandās magic was to be understood, and Steele wasnāt bullshitting him, Steele could only tell the truth. Jody never wanted to be drank from (until recently experimenting with Wade) and Steele knew it. Because of all of this, which they were about to discuss, Jody was always terrified heād end up harming the person receiving the blood.
It was the āI love youā that gave Jody pause. How off the cuff it seemed to Steele, as if they were still together. Well that was somewhat of a relief. Jody couldnāt reason with himself on getting back together with Steele, even if the affection was still there, not how they were nowā¦ But it was nice to know that wasnāt a lie to them. If that hadnāt caught him off guard suddenly, maybe he would have been less receptive to āpossessionā being brought up again.

Steele couldnāt help but smirked at his huff.Ā āAdorable little huffs are my thing, darling,ā They teased. Maybe they didnāt need to go out to have fun with someone. There were other ways to enjoy themselves besides terrorizing them. Case in point, annoy the shit out of their ex.
