i can’t dare to eat at my uni, the price is so high i would have to sell my liver but in public uni (the best ones in brazil are normally public) you pay like 5 reais and can eat really well. the real problem is to find time to be healthy during uni
Huh. In the US, if you live on campus, you have to have a meal plan that you pay for at the beginning of each semester (mine’s $1906 USD for this semester, which is ridiculous). With that, we swipe our card, and however much our food/meal costs gets deducted from the amount. The way our uni does it is we have a certain number of meals and what they call flex dollars. I have 150 meals and $300 in flex. If something counts as a meal, one meal gets deducted, but, if it’s flex, that amount of “money” gets deducted from my account. The prices would be high if I were paying for the food with actual cash, though. But we do have a lot of healthy options, and when I dare to go to the dining hall, they often have grilled or baked chicken and lots of veggies and two salad bars--there’s even one healthy/international (so, not always healthy) section. I usually don’t eat there unless I’m eating with a friend because I’d rather eat in my room so I can watch a drama or something, and the food often doesn’t taste that great. That said, the dining hall also has burgers, fries, waffles, and ice cream available at every meal time, so...
