I planted this little pot for tamarind seeds, when a few random things started coming up. On the right, I think is a carrot, judging by the smell (it can only be carrot or dill, based on what we have spreading around outside, and it's definitely not dill). On top is maybe an eggplant or pepper???? And on the left is one of the tamarind seeds I planted lmao. (FINALLY!) I'm gonna have to pull the carrots and evict the eggplant (or whatever it actually is) if the tamarind survives. I planted so many tamarinds last year, but the flies ate them before they actually sprouted, so I figured to try it indoors while my room is fly-free. (And just my luck, this dirt brought a couple flies, so the other tamarind seeds in here probably got eaten...) but as long as the fly population stays LOW, I'll keep this tamarind indoors - since I read they can be kept as a bonsai?? Fingers crossed. If I manage to get any of the other seeds to sprout (there are some outdoors rn), I'll give them a much bigger pot. I gotta see if I have any seeds left to soak and try starting them indoors again. (I shoulda bought more tamarind pods at the store yesterday, but I was distracted by looking for guavas rip...) 🌱🌱🌱🌱 Semi-related, now that I know I can get big, hard seeds to sprout in my warm room, I might try bittermelon seeds again indoors (bc the fly/seedcorn maggot problem is what prevented them from sprouting outdoors last year!) #tamarind #tamarindo #tamarindsprout #tamarindseed #sprout #sprouts #gardening #plants #fruit https://www.instagram.com/p/CMIH1NQsIr3/?igshid=1umeip8t3q9xo
