Tami McLeod outlines her four steps for teaching a reliable send away.
I *love* Shade’s method for breaking down the send away exercise but her method requires a solid (advanced?) toy skills foundation. I like that she repeatedly mentions how long it takes you to properly condition the dog to sprint the full length of the field.
Martin taught Bosco all of the million tiny pieces for the send away (Shade’s method) but has never tried putting all the pieces together. Bosco’s shoulder injury means that it might not happen this year before the snow returns (or even any more tracking or parkouring .....). :(
