A collection drawings i drew with my hands, inspired by Key and I's fic, There Are Monsters Nearby.

Scar and Grian's miserable zombie roadtrip versus every member of the Redwood compound putting their filthy hair up in a bun. I love these characters with all my heart.

Please do you have any like ref sheets of scar and grain in your zombie apocalypse au I would like to draw them so BADLY

Oh boy, do we ever!!!

Key and I always make a character sheet when we work together so that we have the same idea in mind when we write/draw. I drew this in September last year when we started writing the fic.

We wanted them to be recognizable, but a little unique for our AU. Scar's outfit is heavily inspired by his The Crafting Dead series, and we gave him a Top Gun-style aviator jacket, and for Grian we opted to take away the iconic red sweater and tie a flannel shirt around his waist (for when he gets chilly).

And some alternate designs under the cut!

Since the AU is based on the Life Series versions of these characters, we gave Grian a poncho for when they travel north and it gets rainy, for classic "never left the desert" vibes.

And of course Grian does have a red sweater, it's just shoved into his backpack for the most part.

Now that the first portion of our zombie apocalypse fanfic has wrapped up, I can celebrate by posting a few of the things I drew while it was updating >:3

This is the "it's complicated" polycule dynamics of the Redwood Compound that Scar and Grian spend the last quarter of the fic with. I drew this for the Discord server- the lighter blobs underneath some of them indicate soulmates (as designated by Double Life), though in TAMN, soulmates can be nonromantic, platonic, and occasionally divorced- as well as, of course, romantic.

A little something extra for today's update day. The outfit/character designs for KSQ that Key and I used as reference when we were writing this arc of TAMN.

We wanted the trio to reflect their original dsmp designs, while also nudging them in the direction of being a bit more like OCs. One day Karl is gonna find a thrift store and scavenge himself some really eye-searing outfits, but for now he's a Desaturated Boy to reflect the current atmosphere of living in the zombie apocalypse.
