chihiro my beloved…!!
favorite thing about them: ohh, hmm… there’s so much i love about her, but i think my absolute favorite thing is how much she genuinely loves and cares about everyone around her. she knew she was taking a massive risk by creating alter ego, and she did it anyways because helping her friends was so important to her. she wants to trust and be there for people even when it scares her. she’s so much more than just some shy girl—she’s very smart and kind!
least favorite thing about them: this is not about her as a character, but… christ, i hate how she’s written. i think many chihiro lovers can agree with me. i wish more than anything that she had been written by someone who understands and respects trans people.
favorite line: in all honesty, i do not like any of the lines listed on the wiki for her… ^^;; so i am going to skip this question.
brotp: i love seeing platonic content of her with aoi and sakura! i like to think they’re her workout friends. i headcanon aoi as a trans girl as well, so that could be a bonding point too.
otp: i have been enosaki lover number one for years now. i swear i will publish an enosaki fic someday. my beloved, beloved girls. supermodel enoshima and her tiny nerdy girlfriend… girls who are so alike and so different… girls with warped perceptions of themselves who can act as a mirror for the other… aughhh. they kiss.
notp: i can’t think of any really bad ones, but i do see chihiro as a lesbian, so i tend not to ship her with boys.
random headcanon: chihiro and her dad are very close, and while he doesn’t understand a lot of the tech stuff she’s into, he still wants to engage with her interests somehow… so they watch anime together! chihiro’s a big fan of mecha anime, so she and her dad watch gundam together whenever she visits home.
unpopular opinion: hmm. honestly, engaging with danganronpa fans that aren’t my mutuals reminds me that even just seeing her as trans is apparently an unpopular opinion. which is unfortunate, because she is very transgender.
