Distraction (3970) by Bob Walker Via Flickr: Normally, the largest and most aggressive hummingbird here is the Fawn-breasted Brilliant in the center. While he's distracted by the female Purple-throated Woodstar on the left, the male Booted Racket-tail on the right sneaks in for a sip.

Large and Small (5623L) by Bob Walker Via Flickr: There's quite a range in the sizes of the hummingbirds we saw in Ecuador. The largest at the Tandayapa Lodge was the beautiful Violet-tailed Sylph, and among the smallest was the Booted Racket-tail. These two seem willing to share the flower.
