Have a good time with the collector !
Taneleer Tivan, the Collector:
Appearance: (See above).
What he’s from: Marvel.
Background:
An alien and the obsessive keeper of the largest collection of interstellar flora, fauna, relics, and species in the galaxy, rivaling the sinister computer Brainiac (from DC comics). He operates out of a space aptly known as “Knowhere”, a mining colony built out of the severed head of a dead Celestial.
He first appeared to viewers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a mid-credits scene in “Thor: Dark World”, where Volstagg and Sif give him the Aether for safekeeping. However, he had his own ulterior motives for the item, planning to use it and find several other items, presumably including the Tesseract (which was, at the time, in the hands of the Asgardians).
Some time later, he hired Gamora, one of the adopted daughters of Thanos, to get the Orb for him. However, the Collector also hired the Broker, preventing a possible failure of Gamora. Gamora kept her promise and brought the Gem just as she promised. Arriving at the Collector’s Museum, Gamora and her new partners (who would become the Guardians of the Galaxy) were welcomed by the Collector’s “daughter”, Carina, who was also his assistant. He was apparently quite fascinated with Groot, and asked if he could have Groot’s body at the time of Groot’s death.
The Collector told the story of the Infinity Stones and how ancient beings used them to destroy entire civilizations like “wheat in a field”. Carina attempted to steal the Stone and use it to free herself and her sister. It did not go well, and the Museum was decimated. The Collector was injured, and was later seen mourning his collection with two survivors from it: Howard the Duck and Cosmo the Space Dog.
How he is like me:
We both are nigh-obsessed with collecting things that catch our interest (in my case, things like books and facts and the like about my fan fictions, in his case… well, pretty much anything unique!), and hold them close to our hearts. We also get upset when these things are harmed or are having problems. He also is very knowledgeable about things, similar to how I am knowledgeable about my fan fictions.
How he is not like me:
Unlike me, he is more careful with his collection. My room, the source of most of my things, is… not very organized. My brain is organized, though, more or less.
New Name & New Look!
HELLO FRIENDS, scifi-pixie aka kittensoft aka kittensoft39 shall now be known as scary-pixie. It was time for a rebranding due to some reoccuring and somewhat irritating personal frustrations and I am sad that an ass hat stole the kittensoft name, so here we are. I plan to post even more content about nice boys like Theon Greyjoy, Geralt of Rivia, Taika Waititi, Jason Momoa, Taneleer Tivan and Roose Bolton in the future, plus cute animal pictures and the usual sci-fi/fantasy art. Have a lovely evening! ❤ @cameronscurrie @mrs-3
Taneleer Tivan: Anything can be put in a box if you try hard and believe in yourself.
Some small ones as well.
