It is genuinely baffling to me how much screen time and focus Jax gets compared to other characters. It’s ridiculous. There’s no reason we should know SO much about Jax- his backstory, his emotions, his relationships- and basically NOTHING for other characters. There’s no reason one character’s backstory and inner workings should get 30 minutes of screen time in an hour long (?) finale when none of the other characters get anything like that. Do we know the details of Ragatha’s backstory and her relationship with her abusive mother? Nope! Do we know the details of how all the characters ended up at C&A and put on the headsets? Nope! Does the show go into detail about Pomni’s (the actual og main character) backstory? Nope! Just so much screentime spent on Jax because that’s all the show has turned into focusing on!

And yes, I think it’s very misogynistic writing. I think it’s very telling when you make a character who is canonically misogynistic, he targets the women/non-men characters, the author says that she deeply relates to him, and then that character gets SO much more focus than any of the women characters (including the one who is supposed to be your main character). Lmfao.

You have the time to put a montage of Jax to “Isn’t She Lovely” (genuinely wtf?) but no time to address important questions about the show still unanswered.

And I don’t think it’s a bad thing to go into characters’ backstories and spend a decent amount of time on them. I think learning more about Jax’s backstory is good! But jfc, you should be doing it with ALL the characters, or at least a few. Jax should not be getting this very unequal favoritism. It hurts the actual show imo.

The thing about Viktor being confirmed asexual is that it’s bad representation.

And I’m not saying it’s a bad thing for Viktor to be viewed as ace. What I mean is that in 2024, we have long outgrown this “oh actually this character is queer!” in interviews from writers, directors, etc when they never actually depict it in the show itself.

You want Viktor to be ace? Great! Fucking show it then?

How are you going to say “someone from the LGBTQ Group at Riot told me that asexuality is often poorly represented”. AND THEN in the same breath, you’re going to say that Viktor can’t experience romantic love because of his asexuality, when that’s actually a huge misunderstanding about what asexuality is?

You can’t act like you properly represented asexuality when viewers wouldn’t even know Viktor is ace unless they read this interview.

Yk what I don’t care if it’s cliché. I would love to see him as a black cat. I know he’s been a cat before and I’ve had this silly gripe for a while bc I feel like him being a black kitty makes more sense

If a writer wanted to show the playful side of Loki, I think Loki playing with some wild animals by turning into one of their own is a cute idea. Or even them hunting and living with animals for a bit to relax or distance themself from their usual life. I feel like it would add a little mythological vibe; Loki is a being that transcends their Asgardian body. They can be anything and still be Loki

It’s also interesting to think about because of that part in AOA about them only being able to shapeshift (without cost) into creatures that match who they are. A fox works but a fly doesn’t. I’d love to hear other opinions about what animals would be easy for them 👀

If I had it my way there would be God/dess of Stories Loki in Marvel Rivals who has some fourth wall breaking ability. Also they change their gender presentation randomly throughout the game. Thank you

In Scarlet Witch #8, while he did feel a connection with Wanda, much of his behavior was a facade. He let her beat him fairly easily because he was sick of ruling over Jotunheim. This is just me trying to fix Loki’s horrible writing in that issue rghhh

They have a pretty big drinking problem. It’s an unhealthy coping mechanism that they don’t see a need to stop, even though it always makes them feel worse.
