Tani was in her late 20′s when she got turned by a shifter. She had been seeing the guy casually and when he thought she was going to leave him, he attacked her. She survived and got as far away from him as she could possibly get.
She hadn’t planned on having kids, Grayson was just a short term fling, but by the time she realized she was pregnant, she had lost all contact with the baby’s father. She never held any resentment towards Grayson and Harlow grew up knowing that.
She met her husband, Max, when Harlow was six. When she realized Max was the same kind of shifter she was, they bonded pretty quickly and within a year of meeting, they were engaged and expecting Amaya.
They’ve lived a pretty nomadic life for the sake of safety, but they do tend to stick more towards southern California.
