Desert cathedrals. Flat tyres and angels. - The unforgiving barren landscape of the #tankwakaroo is one of many faces. Here you can find miracles in the middle of nowhere. Here you can take photos in the middle of nowhere. Here you can get 2 flat tyres in the middle of nowhere. Here you can find mercy in the middle of nowhere... Here you discover gratitude. - - After stopping to take this photo in the middle of the desolate remnants of the #afrikaburn site, we arrived back at our car to find punctures in our left front and rear tyres. There is no mobile reception in the area and we were 2 hours hike away from the nearest help. The sun was setting and the wind was cold. We had no choice but to start walking... Most grateful to Morné, Hendrik and Deon for going above and beyond in order to assist us. Without them we might have still been hiking.
