Review:
I'm gonna highlight the plus points of the drama first, which are the funny Hikaru Yaotome and Fujigaya Taisuke's hotness. Also Tanoshingo, he's just.. hilarious with his dodosko dance. Too bad he doesn't have that many on screen time.
Other than that, it's pretty much crap.
It's a remake of the mega hit Korean drama, 'You're Beautiful'. I find the plot weak and very predictable, and somehow similar to Hana Kimi in the way that the girl falls for the wrong guy, and that guy's friend falls for her. Also how a girl is disguised as a guy. Very typical.
Takimoto Miori plays Mio/Miko. They're twins. Mio is supposed to audition for a new band, but he goes missing. Thus, Miko has to pretend to be Mio, and there you have the whole story.
The Johnny's ikemen plays the other three band members.
Takimoto's acting is alright, so is the other members. With my biasness, I find Hikaru's acting just slightly better, especially with his tiny misplaced ponytail and blonde hair.
Since I don't find the plot that unique or whatsoever, Ikemen desu ne definitely doesn't have a special place in my heart. It's one of those dramas that you watch then later forget that you've even watched it.
If I have to pick one thing to treasure, it would be the soundtrack, Kisumai's Everybody Go. Because it's that catchy.
