For every “⏳” I receive, my muse will openly talk about a bit of their backstory.

❝ The first time I rode Azaes, I wasnine—Or at least, I tried to. We’re not supposed to just try tomount them without the aid of a dragon horn or the whips, withoutbeing strapped to them until the dragon grows used to us. But Iwanted to ride him, I was old enough. Azaes wasn’t happy though andwith his size, it was an easy thing to shake me off him but I kept ontrying until eventually I took off on his back—and then I fell fromhigh up. I was bloodied and bruised, and I think I even lostconsciousness, I don’t remember when mother found me. But I rememberthe way Azaes whined, as if he was in pain, ❞ Vaedar’s voicelowers, his gaze lost in the memory. ❝ It was the first time I’veever heard that sound from him, like he was weeping and I swear Icould feel remorse. ❞ A huff of air leaves his nostrils, shakinghis head before a smile adorns his features.
❝ Then I felt like an idiot because, nowonder he wouldn’t let me ride him. He was so much like me—would Ilet anyone just mount and order me like a slave? Dragons are noslaves, he’s my closest companion and I had to treat him as such. Idecided not to force it again, that I’d just need to be patient but Iremember so well after I recovered, how Azaes lowered and lay hiswing on the ground so that I could climb on his back. ❞ His smilewidened even more, a particular and unique glint in his violet eyes.
❝ That was the first time I flew onhim…I was a natural after several more falls and crashes, that is.❞
