So I just thought of a cute Beast Boy and Raven bonding moment. I think it would take place sometime during the first season, at least after the two confirm they're friends in Nevermore. Also Car Trouble because big brother Cyborg.

So Raven's acting a little irritable. She may have gotten hurt in battle or missed a meditation or something.

Beast Boy, trying to cheer her up, does something a little different and gets out a chessboard. He begs her to teach him to play. He's tried before, but never managed to learn. Raven relents and the two begin a game.

Despite being given the run down, BB has difficulty remembering what is what and has to ask a bunch of questions.

Raven gets increasingly frustrated as she was already on edge and ultimately quits.

When BB gets upset with her for just giving up on him, she snaps at him and insults his intelligence before walking away.

She was going to head to her room, but Cyborg beats her there, arms crossed.

He basically tells her what she did was uncalled for, not fearing her death glare. When she starts to complain, he points out that while she could have been upset about being pushed to play the game, snapping at him for trying to learn something new for her sake wasn't okay. Beast Boy is not really the type to play chess. He was putting aside what he liked to specifically do something he knew SHE liked.

After getting his message across, he stepped aside for Raven to enter her room.

While still annoyed, Raven does feel regret and begins meditating. When she feels better, she tracks Beast Boy down when he's alone and apologizes. She tells him she appreciates what he was trying to do, even if that wasn't the moment to do so. He also might not be the brightest, but he uses his brain in other ways, so there's that.

Beast Boy forgives her, of course, and wants to try again sometime. Raven agrees. From then on, the two play chess about once every other week or so.

Anyway, I thought of a panel I saw in the Teen Titans tie in comic where the two are playing chess and Beast Boy appears deep in thought about his next move.

Without stories, we’re all just lonely islands. Stories let us see and hear and feel what someone else does. They build bridges to the other islands. That’s why stories are so important. They create true empathy.

Melvin takes on the superhero name of Manifest as she gets older. As she better controls her powers, she can adjust Bobby’s size at will, usually keeping him as a little teddy to carry around. While she once had her doubts, she knows Bobby is not a crutch. She managed to create a sentient being who also reflects her own ability to love and protect herself.

Headcanons:  Amber, Tamara, and Dionne

The girl we see in Things Change is indeed Terra. Or rather, she was. Having taken on the new identity of Tamara Marshall, the former Terra had since befriended Amber and Dionne. Amber and Dionne were best friends, relating to each other by coming from poor families and managing to get into the school by their smarts alone. When coming across Tamara, an awkward girl struggling with her schoolwork and working through a repressed past, they reached out to her, knowing what it was like to be an outcast in the school. Tamara accepted their friendship and the two did their best to coax the blonde out of her shell. When Tamara really started getting into the groove of things and letting go a little is when Beast Boy appeared. Amber and Dionne were furious when they saw him bring back her unsure frown, as well as try to bring up her apparently traumatizing past. This is why the two are so rude towards Beast Boy. They saw him as a threat to their friend.

Teen Titans Go! - Issue 3

Here we see two very different reactions to Cyborg.

And just how poorly some people treat him. It also seems that Cyborg and Beast Boy aren’t the most popular of the Titans, at least with this kid.

I think we have a bit of a non canon moment here. While I see Raven as capable of detecting others emotions, she has to do so intentionally and she generally doesn’t use this ability, wanting to respect others’ privacy.

VERY out of character. All the Titans, save for Robin, look “different.” They would never truly insult each other for their physical appearance. Also, I don’t see this as a romantic look. I see it as more him trying to be cute and kissing up to make her choose him. While I personally enjoy the ship, I don’t see them becoming romantically involved until very much later, if they do.

Many disabled look up to and relate to Cyborg. He is technically an amputee, after all. (Weird coloring error on his chin. Huh.)

And here we have Sarah Simms. Cyborg seems smitten with her immediately. While the comic makes this seem appearance based, I think he also knew that, as someone associated with these handicapped children, she was kind to those who were different and found that admirable.

More confirmation that those kids look up to Cyborg. And he loves them too~ <3

I believe Cyborg saw Sarah and those kids a lot after this, making an effort to see them most weekends. However, his work with the Titans could have him go quiet from time to time. More of these two will be seen in future issues~

Just a reminder that Cyborg is quite loved and the Titans love each other~

Self Image

Indeed they do! Neil is quite aware that he is not considered the most attractive. He was mocked as a child for his appearance, among other things, and that’s stuck with him for life. (Even after his adoration in the sixties.) His teeth are crooked, his physique is incredibly thin and bony, his ears are big, and his nose strikes him as poorly shaped. He compensates with his sense of fashion.

Teen Titans Go! - Issue 2

Despite claiming to be vegetarian, I believe Beast Boy to be primarily vegan, given his tendency to lean towards non-dairy. And my guess is the large vegetarian pizza with double mushroom and eggplant with extra soy cheese is his favorite/regular order. It is seen again in another issue, I believe.

While the Hive gave the Titans trouble the first time around, it seems it didn’t take long to deem them losers.

And here is an out of character moment. Beast Boy puts his friends above all else. While I’m sure he’d love to eat that pizza, it wouldn’t be on his list of priorities while Starfire is in danger.

Again. No.

Back to canon. Beast Boy does know his animal facts.

The Titans don’t always roll their eyes at Beast Boy’s quips.

I see Beast Boy and Robin having their issues in the series, particularly during The Beast Within, but they really are friends. (I do headcanon they become better friends after that episode, when Robin apologizes and they have a real heart to heart. I wrote a tiny one part fic about it here.)

My guess is the Titans are able to build/repair much quicker than most, given their abilities. Here we see Beast Boy’s expectation on such a mess as a crash through their roof. I don’t think Beast Boy is being “dumb” here. They really are that fast.

And Beast Boy did take responsibility. He was clearly only kidding about it being everyone else’s fault, hence the “Gotcha!”

Teen Titans Go! - Issue 1

A video game by the name of Super Ninja Fury exists with the Teen Titans as playable characters. (Also, Beast Boy is colored incorrectly in the top panel.)

It would seem Slade kept in contact with the Hive, even after the events of Final Exam. My guess is that the headmistress contacted Slade, hoping to prove her school/students as capable and convince Slade to hire them again. I don’t think he took their offer.

I believe that, while uncommon, Raven does occasionally play video games after the events of this issue. She doesn’t really play for herself, but will sometimes join when the others play. She is a fast learner and can do quite the fancy finger work with those buttons.
