I case I didn’t make it clear in my 12,000 Followers Video...
Coincidentally, my favorite letter response is the one where she freaked out over seeing herself with short hair. I was originally going to have her give a calmer opinion about it, but it turned into that somewhere in my thought process, and I couldn’t be happier with it.
Oh man, that’s a tough one... I almost hope we don’t see those localizations, because I already love the names we got from the fan translations. For now, this sounds like a bridge we’ll have to cross when we get to it.
Glad to meet you. Have you met our puppet?
He’s single, just so you know.
Dear Tumblr User Formerly Known As thered498cp,
Yep, that was a typo. For everyone who didn’t see, it was originally “a1tam0ont.”
I had that in mind when I wrote that response, believe it or not. It makes me wonder if Miles ever stared at his shadow. And if so, how could he tell who won?
Sorry if it sounded that way (and I honestly didn’t know that about Chinese people), but that’s how I imagine Phoenix -- and most Americans -- would react to a letter like that. To me, viewing the cuisine of other countries as weird is just a matter of culture shock, and not the same as viewing the people themselves that way.
Much appreciated! Laughter is the best medicine, and Moe practically has a PhD in it. Too bad it’s a little outdated. Aha! Aha! Aha!
I’m just as happy to keep it going, so thanks! I say this a lot, but it’s letters like this that inspire me to keep this blog going and do my best with it, so thanks for that, too!
Deciding my top 5 favorite breakdowns is a pretty big challenge, since there are so many and they’re all great for different reasons, but here’s my best attempt:
5. Roger Retinz, when he finally got his moment in the spotlight, but it wasn’t how he planned it:
4. Dahlia Hawthorne (the second time), when she realized that revenge wasn’t in the cards for her:
3. Aristotle Means, when his “ends justify the means” philosophy came crumbling down:
2. Matt Engarde, when his protection became his worst enemy:
1. Simon Keyes, when his elaborate puppet act turned against him:
Honorable Mentions go to Pierce Nichody for the beautiful symbolism of his realization that time moves on:
...and to Ted Tonate, for the hilariousness of his “self-destruction”:
Taken care of. Let me know if I deleted the wrong one.
Also taken care of. I hope you don’t mind waiting a little longer for it to be answered, though.
