The Spaces in Between...⠀ This past #MemorialDayWeekend I found myself, once again, in Arlington, VA supporting @tapsorg. This year, the #tapsfam took over three hotels in Crystal City to care for and love on those who have lost military loved ones. Husbands, fathers, brothers, sons. Wives, mothers, sisters, daughters. Those lost and those left behind.⠀ .⠀ In the midst of the darkness and sadness in the lives of the surviving families and loved ones, there are still moments of light and joy. The TAPS staff, mentors, and volunteers all work together to help create those moments light and joy. While, at the same time, confronting and engaging the darkness and grief. ⠀ .⠀ Normally, within the scope of my responsibilities during the weekend, for various reasons, there is some moving back and forth between the hotels.
