i thought what I felt was simple

This vintage dress is soooo Lisa Loeb Stay. Thrifted for $7.99, its brocade fabric, lovely neckline, perfect length and early 90's-ness drew me right in. Stay was a monster hit song from Ben Stiller's directorial debut, Reality Bites. Though I want it to be a good film, it has some issues. Several years after the release of this movie, I ended up working with the editor on a few projects and can tell you with 100% assurance she was NOT the right person to edit this movie.Different styles of editing drastically alter the tone/pace/feel of a film and this movie doesn't quite work. And I've heard from the inside, Ben Stiller had a frustrating time working with her. But I wasn't there, so who can really say? (Hey Ben, if you read this, you should take the movie out of the can and have Tara Timpone re-edit it for a 20th anniversary re-release!) Anyway. Who can resist an angsty, coming-of-age film, in any form? Sometimes the cheesier and more awkward the better.
