Tarantula Farming Tips
If you haven't come across the guides to make any mystery Island tarantula island, its pretty simple. Chop down all trees, dig up the stumps, pluck all the flowers, break all the rocks. Tiger beetle, wharf roaches and giant water bugs will still need to be removed but your chance of tarantulas just went up highly.
Now it's time to hunt for tarantulas. Put your net away! You can carry any other tool, or none, and tarantulas won't aggro until your net is out. This means you don't have to worry about tarantulas seeing you before you see them.
When you spot a tarantula get your net out and approach carefully. When it rears on its back legs stop, otherwise it will charge. Once it's stopped rearing, start approaching again, stopping as necessary when it rears again.
Once you're about a hole width away it's time to raise that net and catch yourself a cool 8000 bells.
The approach technique might require a little practice but you'll soon be catching every tarantula to cross your path. Enjoy.
Tarantula Farming Tip:
A great alternative to tarantula islands, are bamboo islands, since they don’t have water bugs.
Just be sure to bring an extra axe or two, since the lack of normal trees (besides palm trees) means a lack of wood for upgrading the axe.
(Also, the lack of rivers to cross and cliffs to climb make things more convenient)
honestly if someone can cut down a tree with their dick, let them
pls exterminate all giant water bugs I love tarantula babies more
