KING DEDEDE
A big gift giver when it comes to wooing a potential partner; especially things like foods and shiny objects. Gives his potential lover the best of the best treats and exquisite meals, the shiniest largest gems he can get his hands on, anything that pertains to their hobbies or interests, it's all free game.
He tries to be nonchalant about it, he tries really really hard. Giving them whatever gift he got for them and trying to appear unbothered by their reaction but also he wants to watch them like a hawk to make sure they enjoy it. He also can't hide how giddy it makes him when they do enjoy it.
He would also take them on trips or excursions around Pop Star, anywhere their heart desires and he's got the Waddle Dees readying transportation.
Despite his boisterous nature and ego he still takes a while to actually confess any feelings. He wants to make absolutely sure a potential partner is properly wooed and swooning over his kinglyness.
META KNIGHT
More of an actions speak louder than words type of guy. Carries things for his potential partner without prompting, gets them a book or tickets to a movie they'd been talking about but never had the will to purchase, just little ways to show he cares.
He's a lot like a cat when it comes down to it, he spends more time around them without actually interacting. Half the time they don't even notice he's there even if everybody else notices. He'd probably also leave treats in places that they frequent.
Genuinely they wouldn't even be able to tell he's courting them. He's not the most romantic when it comes down to it so it's easy for them to brush it off as "he's just being chivalrous he does it for everybody because he's a knight." He does not do it for everybody.
Would probably actually confess face to face, maybe with flowers, depends on how important he deems it to the person he's confessing to.
MAGOLOR
Capitalism king shows his affection and amorous feelings through discounts. Potential partners get discounts on anything he sells with "cutie discounts" and "my favorite person discounts". Though due to his smarmy nature they'd probably assume he's bullying them (he kind of is).
He gets more playful with any potential partner, affectionate touches and nuzzles; cutesy nicknames that sound vaguely condescending and insulting but he genuinely means them to be cute pet names.
He's not a very giving person without gain, so gifts are often things he feels he could afford to lose out on, though they still have their strings. What do you know, he has an extra ticket to Merry Magoland! Ohhh noo if ONLY he had a cutie to go with him because he doesn't have ANNNNNNYBODY else to play the minigames with :( won't somebody PLEASE take PITY on poor Maggyboy. Then he gives them a sidelong glance before dramatically fainting. Unfortunately, though not a villain anymore, he still has the dramatics of one.
Do I think he'd confess? Yeah probably. Though I doubt it'd be romantic or have much thought or consideration in it. Just off handedly after he gets caught up in his feelings and how he would've never gotten this chance had things gone his way.
TARANZA
Best spider boy in the WORLD is very much a guy who does acts of service to show his affection. He doesn't give gifts anymore, not after what happened last time (the scars may have healed in due time but they still sting). He makes up for it by giving his potential partner all of his time and energy.
Very big on physical touch and one of his favorite things to do is give any potential partner a massage, it allows him to help make them feel better and also provides physical affection. Big win!
Genuinely LOVES spending time with them and loves doing mundane things with them, doesn't matter if its just a walk in the park or hanging out while they do chores; he's just really really happy to be there.
He confesses purposefully and genuinely, more than likely during a picnic in a flower field. He doesn't gift them flowers, so just. existing nearby them is the best he could do. God forbid he gifts them flowers that are evil and fucked up.
SUSIE
An absolute autistic queen that has been so corporatized she isn't sure how feelings or emotions work. She'd express her interest in a potential partner by taking things off their workload. Chores, school work, emails, whatever she can do to make life easier for them (and give them more time to spend with her) is a sacrifice she'll make.
Not much of a gift giver, but when she does give gifts it's always something with a purpose or use. Type of woman to give you pots and pans. She doesn't see the appeal of useless doodads and doohickeys.
When she's not working to fix her fathers mistakes she's spending time with them. Though she prefers to do something productive (getting those chores they've been putting off done, for example) she'll give them a pass because she does enjoy her time spent with them.
Confesses robotically with precision. Done quickly and effortlessly, possibly through email.
The sound of cloth wiping glass leads you to Taranza, who is polishing the Dimensional Mirror.
Taranza stops wiping and places one of his six hands on it. He stares at his reflection, as if he's lost in thought. Though Taranza doesn't face you, the reflection reveals his sorrowful expression.
At the sight of your owm reflection, Taranza turns to you. He displays a light smile that fails to hide the loneliness in his heart. The pain of losing something meaningful. A feeling Taranza tried to hide to keep you from worrying.
You place your hand on his shoulder, a question lingering in the air: Are you a reflection of his past, or a hope for his future?

Oh lordy lord he is SUPER clingy!! He will DEMAND your attention, and gets pretty sad if you don’t give it to him
He likes to knit and sew clothing, and would definitely make things for you
He’d also share his favorite books with you! Late night reading sessions are his favorite <3

Taranza x Reader (HEADCANONS)
• Taranza was still heartbroken over Queen Sectonia. I mean, maybe seeing your crush slowly turn into a monster and then eventually betraying you even when you stayed by their side the whole time is a bit scarring.
• So him getting a friend like you was great for someone like as lonely as Taranza. In his mind at least or how he is described.
• If you'd be willing to listen, he would vent to you sometimes. Maybe about past mistakes and just in general guilt. He won't do it too often! Sometimes he just wants to get things off his chest.
• He does this weird thing where he randomly ties objects to a web. One time you saw your toaster hanging from the ceiling with a web holding it up in place after getting a visit from him. Hang outs are weird.
• Thinks the jambastion religion's greeting is ridiculous. He has gone on a rant about it to you many times. It was surreal at first until it became just uncommon. He doesn't seem like the type of person to rant is all.
• Not a picky eater, REALLY not a picky eater. Seriously, you swear you saw him eating a few rocks the other day. Then again it was only a glimpse.
• Despite his mostly gentle like appearance he's cunning and a bit of a bitch. You two were just hanging and he decided to just fuck with some weirdo because he thought it would be fun getting something out of them. Whatever item he got out of them, he gave it to you after as a gift.
• Speaking of gifts he tends to be the unique gifts type of friend or the gifter. (I dunno what they're called but the type of friend to often give you gifts yet somehow all of them are unique from the one of the other. I have that type of friend. NEVER CHANGE.) I mean let's be real over here, he stole the dimension mirror from the mirror world and gave it as a present to Sectonia. Insane weirdo I swear.
• His gifts range from simply unique, maybe something he made by hand (magic, silk etc) or straight up distinct and ancient. Yet somehow not having a single scratch in sight. Be careful with his gifts though. He might be a smarty-pants but he's not very observant.
• Kind of a party pooper. He doesn't mean to be though, he just isn't very acquainted with parties. Also because of his smarty-pants side he tends to miss out on jokes and just in general being confused by sarcasm. Questioning them and telling whoever told the joke it didn't make sense due to it not being possible.
• He's a little knowledgeable weirdo who just needs some friends. Having you will help him a lot.
Daroach x Reader (HEADCANONS)
• Unlike Taranza, Daroach isn't lonely. Instead having a gang and stealing valuable treasures from many presumably wealthy people.
• Daroach is the kind of guy to (sort of) act as if they don't care about their team only to later show care towards them. He genuinely cares for his gang or as he likes to call themselves 'The Squeek Squad'.
• He will constantly brag about how popular he was with the ladies before. Telling you that all of the gals fell head over heals for him and yada yada. You honestly stopped listening at some point. The only thing he did was brag and brag. You think he did this for an entire day if you were going to be honest.
• Sometimes his heists doesn't go too well. It doesn't happen often but when it happens. BOY, does it happen. Things got really bad one time so you had to break him and his squad out.
• Overconfident dumbass at times. He literally jumped into a pit of lava because "Some jerk bet him he couldn't jump over a heap of lava." You still don't have any idea as to how he got offended about that.
• Mischievous bastard, steals and causes conflicts almost constantly. (Also he's kind of an attention seeker.)
• Daroach has amazing social skills and is quite charismatic. You saw him talking his way out of a sticky situation flawlessly. They even seemed quite smitten by Daroach. You don't know if you should be wary or impressed.
• He gives you gifts sometimes. Usually they're stolen so it could probably get you in trouble. Luckily, this universe doesn't seem to have any laws or any restrictions at all so it doesn't really matter.
• Although Daroach might come off as someone unforgiving, he is very much the opposite! He is quick to forgive and understands most of the times. A little mouse had blown their cover while on a heist and Daroach forgave him almost immediately.
• He's usually closed off and defensive. So moments when he opens up and actually shows vulnerability are a rare sight and are meant to be treasured. He tries to look good and tough for his team which leads to him thinking that he cannot show weakness at all. Which isn't a good habit, just a reminder.
• He's overconfident and reckless, but he also has a vulnerable side. Also he's really loyal! A friend to treasure and keep indeed.

Taranza Romantic Headcanons
Taranza is a very considerate partner! He knows every one of your likes, dislikes, preferences, right down to what light level you prefer your room at for sleeping. He even has a little notepad dedicated to things that he's worried he might not remember (silly things, like what your ideal volume level for the tv is).
Like I've said previously, he doesn't really give gifts anymore. He's far too worried about somehow accidentally giving another cursed gift that ruins yet another relationship; so most of what he does are acts of service. Things like making you dinner, cleaning your house, taking any bugs outside that might've wandered in if you're too scared of them to attempt to.
Really likes holding your hand! If you only have two hands, don't worry! He'll do everything for you just so he can keep holding yours for as long as possible. The extra hands come in handy when he's clingy.
Not the jealous type. He doesn't really care if you have friends or how close you are to them, he doesn't really view them as a threat.
Meta Knight Romantic Headcanons
Meta Knight is, unfortunately, kind of a distant partner. He's been a lone swordsman for so long that having any sort of close relationship is odd. He does attempt to make it up to you with gifts, though you both know it's not a substitute for a closer relationship. Overtime, however, he does get better about being more open and vulnerable.
You have your own room on the Halberd and you're basically an honorary member, if not already an official member, of the Meta Knights. If the Meta Knights can't find Meta Knight himself, they tend to defer to you for decisions and instruction. The Meta Knights also do their best to help you set up date nights with Meta, though it's a 20/80 chance it works.
Meta Knight would absolutely LOVE it if you baked him something, it doesn't matter if it's bad or good, so long as it doesn't kill him he's pretty happy. He's a war veteran, he ate shitty rations for 100 years or longer, a burnt chocolate cake isn't going to ruin his day.
He does get slightly jealous, only if he views the person you're talking to or interacting with around or above his strength though. He would 100% fight for your honor if he had to.

Pros of Cuddling with Taranza
Very polite and doesn't move much, takes your comfort into consideration before much else. He can also hold your hand, pat your head, massage your back, hold a drink, and hold a snack. Multitasking king.
Willing to get up and fetch you anything you need at any point. It doesn't matter how comfortable he is he WILL get up. If you want to get up and get something yourself you need to move fast and not mention it.
He's a little on the cooler side, so he's all the better for cuddling with under a ton of blankets. Or cuddling with when it's hot as hell outside.
Taranza 100% knits, so if you find watching or listening to that relaxing it's a big win. Honestly he stims a lot no matter what and typically traces shapes on your back or plays with your hair or your hands when cuddling. ASMR king entirely on accident.
Cons of Cuddling with Taranza
Needy with some issues. If you don't want to cuddle he'll assume you're mad at him. Please don't be mad at him.
Slightly venomous, not enough to do real serious harm but enough to cause paralysis in a limb and cause numbing for a few days. He'll at least take care of you! And feel extremely bad about it. Immediately looks into getting anti venom afterwards, though.
If he gets cold he will be annoying about it. He has so many hands and they're all cold and please for the love of Nova help him.
Sometimes he gets nightmares and will push you off the bed or couch.
