Chapter Summary: In which Souji fights a frog
I need to really start working on not writing three thousand words in one go after like a week of staring blankly at a word document
Anyway: What you've all been waiting for
After six chapters I finally got to the beginning of the actual game
kris speaks the truth so platonic naoto/souji stuff:
Naoto gets really worried that they don't have the time to take care of a cat properly when they're so often away on detective business and Souji calms them down because if there is anything Souji is capable of it is catsitting
Naoto and Souji splayed on the floor together occasionally tossing verbal stims back and forth because it's nice to unwind and be neurodivergent with someone who gets it
Naoto watching horrible noir films and laughing at the poor detective work while Souji makes dinner and occasionally makes bad puns
Naoto and Souji having a closet full of gender clothes that was organised by Rise at some point. but you crammed a disorganised genderfluid person with the fashion sense of an eighteenth century bachelor and an agender person with the fashion sense of a twelve year old with their first visa gift card into a shared living space. the closet is an adventure. Souji tries to clean it out once and finds their tights they lost four months ago
The cat always sits on Naoto's lap. Souji tries not to be offended
Souji fails and tries to buy the cat's love with a heating pad and a cat house
Naoto texts Souji once to ask for help finding their phone. Souji stares into the distance for like ten minutes before replying "you are a detective." It still takes Naoto a minute to realise the essential clue to where their phone is.
Souji buys onesies and they're really ugly but Naoto wears them anyway because they're warm
Platonic Naoto/Souji is good for everyone
