#tardis redesign

My fan design for the TARDIS's interior and exterior is now complete :oD I decided to go with a sort of space gazebo/greenhouse/balcony type of look for the interior! The console itself has a bunch of wacky features such as a wack-a-mole hole, a bunny themed egg timer, a slide puzzle and some other stuff!

Rough sketches of some of the console features and a looksie at what colour the tardis is without ambient light, from an early WIP image!

I originally wasn't going to design a TARDIS for my fan regeneration, but then I learned REAL police boxes sometimes had a little bit of stained glass and could crack their windows open, and my doctor absolutely HAS to have that! (I'll design the TARDIS interior later)

i know everyone hates the new tardis, but i love it

So I'm kinda loving the new design. It's a definite throwback to the old TARDIS(es).

The other New Who TARDISes definitely had a lot of them too, but it's become even more obvious. Perhaps now the Doctor is feeling a bit more distanced from the Time War, he feels more okay with the TARDIS looking like it used to.

We don't really have enough shots to see what's going on around the walls in the new TARDI; there's different levels, stairs and a walkway, like in Eleven's last TARDIS. The idea that the console room was more than just a room for the console seems to first appear in the TV movie, as well as having different levels. (Even if we sadly never got to see him run around on the elevated walkways in the background.)

The central column has also returned to look more like Eight's, and also Nine/Ten's.

I look forward to seeing how the lighting will affect the show, now the console room's let go of the orange/cyan colour scheme though. But I can't wait to get sweeping shots of the place and see what more's there.

And then of course there's Eleven's outfit, which looks like a mix of Eight and Two, which I have no objection with.
