Finally enjoying the local talent of my home town of Tarlac City at the 1983 Diwa ng Tarlac Convention Center, in Barangay San Vicente of Tarlac City
The Diwa ng Tarlac was built during the time of Gov. Homobono Cosuanco Sawit (born 1921 / served 1979-1984) and Mayor Bernardo Lugay (served 1979-1986) as a showcase of the history and culture of both Tarlac City and Tarlac Province.
Shortly after the Diwa ng Tarlac was opened, my father and uncle produced a concert of the band Asin at the place. I was acting as a bouncer for that event.
In 1997, I returned to exhibit at the Diwa ng Tarlac extension: the Museo ng Tarlac.
This picture was taken circa 2021, during my regular explorations to document local historical landmarks and artworks around the Philippines.
