ok i know in canon he’s under 5′ 2″, but as soon as I heard ed speak my brain went “Taro’s a tall gangly boy who can’t control his sad little limbs” and i’ve been unable to change my own mind (sorry @themortalpath)

i’m pretty sure i’ll redo these at some point bc my markers pretty much died on me & the university scanner just completely butchered the quality, but….. i’ve been thinking about these since. like. the third episode of @themortalpath ​ & i feel like it’s the time to share these tarot cards with the world outside my head:

Taro Tarnassian as The Fool - a card that can mean new beginnings, a new path, and making it up as you go. 

Taro is in a similar pose as figures usually are in The Fool. The color scheme is also similar (save for the fabulous salmon pink shirt) & he’s holding his harmonica where some fools hold a flute.

Nerium Oleander as Death - a card that can mean endings and beginnings, dealing with what scares you, and change, transformation, and transition. 

Nerium is decidedly not a skeleton like Death usually is in tarot cards. Instead the scissors behind her are meant to bear some resemblance to a skull’s eyes and nose. In her hand Nerium has a needle with a red thread in it - meant to be the thread of fate or life, kind of. 

Natalia Nightlark as The Hermit - a card that can mean inner guidance, seeking knowledge, and needing more and seeking more.

Natalia is in the usual pose of The Hermit, but instead of a staff she has her sword & instead of a lantern she has the magic candle.

and

Findex as The Moon - a card that can mean fear, insecurity, confusion, and anxiety.

Instead of grass and a lake that usually are depicted on The Moon, this version has the desert and the fallen city. The Findex-moon looks a lot like sun, but does the moon on most of the most tarot decs.

Nerium every time Taro rolls a really low identify check on an item:

Nerium: Not gonna happen. I rent it out under a shell corporation.

Taro: Yeah.

Nerium: My mail goes to a P.O. box the next town over.

Taro: Yeah!

Nerium: My neighbors think my name is Merry Burrows

Taro: Oh yeah!

Nerium: And my coworkers think my name is Nerium Oleander.

Taro: Yeah! Wait what?

Nerium: Don't worry about it.

Taro: Okay.

Taro: All right, if we wanna win this, we’ve gotta do it right! Think: what’s the number one problem with most monster hunts?

Findex: You’re a side character and you die in the first five minutes of the movie.
