As Rook x Tarquin is consuming me, here are some headcanons about Lilium and her favorite Shadow dragon/Templar archivist.

They are stubborn and refuse for a long time to recognise they have feelings for each other.

Lilium is unable to stay still, it exasperates Tarquin during missions... But he secretly finds it cute.

He has to keep a poker face (or a wicked grace face I suppose) otherwise her recklessness would give him a heart attack

Lilium likes to hum when it's quiet, Tarquin finds her voice lovely and soothing

After Varric recruited Lilium, Tarquin became more distant. It took him time to admit he was jealous, even if he knew this emotion was unreasonable

Of course, he is angry because she chose Treviso. It's after a lot of talk with Ashur he accepts she did her best with what she had

Of course, he will never say it

Ashur finds both of them insufferable after the T over M choice. Lots of unspoken words tense the relationship between them.

Ashur has no other choice to act and sends them into a fake mission, hoping they will talk

They talk... And more

Once they're officially in a relationship, Lilium often steals his clothes after they spend some time together. Tarquin likes that because it reminds him she was really there

He comes a few times in the Lighthouse

When he is there, they are often outside. Both sitting on the ground, in each other's arms, talking, smiling.

Manfred brings them some food and coffee Lucanis prepared, because those idiots in love forget to eat

Lilium likes to run her fingers through his hair

I really like Lucanis, but I also think there is unresolved tension between my Rook (Lilium Mercar) and Tarquin. And I'm gonna solve it

going a little bit nuts over how I made Alec's Iconic and Defining Piece of Gear the Dragon's War Bow and then went and headcanoned that Tarquin was the one who gave it to him. something incredibly compelling about him going through this whole game stubbornly sticking with the bow from his ex-situationship.

Alec looking down at the bow and knowing that, at one point in time, even if he never said it out loud, someone loved him and wanted him kept safe. fuck!!
