Asked if I was gonna have a "good day" (by good day, I mean a day without unnecessary STRESS! Yesterday I almost died (not joking) due to a relatives impulsive actions and I spent the rest of the day in AGONY because of their ignorant way of trying to "help me".

I'm understandably terrified of getting "help" from non-professionals. Even getting my hair brushed can get me in trouble.

Anyways. .. I hope I have a better day today than yesterday fr.

Does... does every tarot deck interpret its cards differently?

Like if I were to pull the magician from two separate decks, would they be interpreted differently based on the artwork, the personality of the deck, etc?

I’m still very new to Tarot, despite a long-held interest in it. To ease myself in (and get a feel for the process while I’m still working on my coloured-in deck), I’m using a Tarot app for daily readings. Nothing fancy, just single card draws, which I can note down and reflect on for inclusion in my grimoire (which will take the form of an A5 ringbinder or two)!

The first two days have already given me something joyful and something uncomfortable - but both absolutely true and in need of recognition. I read in one of the many grimoire tips/beginner witch tips posts I’ve reblogged that doing a daily Tarot reading - and, most importantly, recording it in your journal/Bos/ grimoire - is a pretty essential thing to do. And I can already see why  - it is MUCH tougher to lie to yourself on paper! These daily notes are going to be so useful for me to understand where I am right now, what I want to change, and what I want to keep. I’ve never really been much for introspection, and... yeah, that needs to change - pronto!

Currently, I’m using Beginner’s Guide to Tarot by Juliet Sharman-Burke and illustrated by Giovanni Caselli. I also have an Arthurian Tarot app (by Caitlin & John Matthews, illustrated by Miranda Gray), because I love Arthurian legends :D

(I really enjoy copying out my notes neatly like this. I wonder if I’ll be able to keep it up when I eventually get back to work? ^-^”)

Finishing school, interviewing for jobs, getting training done... And I got these two cards on my Galaxy Tarot app this week.

So the was a day I was trying to finish some school work and then I had an interview.

And the second is right now, when I want to skip class ... But I need to go!

I mean, on the nose much?

Yeah, this app doesn't pull punches.

I’m in the broom closet and I can only use tarot apps rather than an actual deck. Lately (over the last two weeks) my readings have basically been all doom and gloom.

Am I doing something wrong? Are the cards picking up on some recent lingering grief (pet loss)

I would appreciate any insight if it isn’t too much trouble. Thank you in advance!

Labyrinthos - Tarot/oracle app

What this app does:

Virtual tarot readings - helpful for those who want to learn but don’t have a deck yet, although the legitimacy of readings is debatable

Logs physical or virtual readings - if you prefer having your readings on your phone this is a good, organized way to store them instead of in your notes

Card meanings - tapping on a card when doing a reading on the app or going into their reference menu and selecting one shows key terms and a short description of the meaning of the card. There are a few tarot deck variations and types of oracle decks to choose from

Tarot lessons - there are flashcard-like question activities where you can select a type of card you want to strengthen your knowledge on and review

The only downside Ive been able to find in this app is that it doesn’t have the most common tarot deck: Rider-Waite. The golden thread is very similar to it but not exactly, and that may cause confusion if you’re trying to learn the cards of a Rider-Waite deck from this app. But if you like the decks available on it, go for it
