🌸REPEATING PATTERNS🌸 When we find ourselves repeating a pattern again and again it can be useful to step away and follow a neutral cycle. For example, the cycle of the breath, or in this case, the tea ceremony. Yesterday Xingyi, my teacher, helped me to see the difference between truth and illusion through the portal of the tea. (No Puer Tea today, I told her, I am not feeling strong enough!). She caused me to do something new and brave I had never done before, in the midst of a moment of emotional challenge and vulnerability. I served her the tea myself, in her shop @augustmoontea. Such a thing takes you out of a rut and a place of sadness into a new experience. It had not occurred to me that I had never served her tea before. It feels like we have had tea together so many times! She helped me to see where my tea ceremony had some lazy points, where I was unconscious and forgetful. We sat together within the blessing of the Water Moon Goddess Guan Yin (last picture). And everything became clear. “Tomorrow,” she persisted, “have some Puer tea. 🐬✨✨✨✨✨🐬 There is a great sense of overwhelm at the moment personally and collectively. I am in the seasonal mitigation of symptoms and infections that plague the immune compromised. It feels like a constant battle. I am moving more towards equanimity than in the past, but I still have my moments. So I declare my intentions boldly. No matter what is thrown at me, nothing but love will flow from me. Sometimes that means making sure you keep your distance so that I can stay safe. This is self-love. Sometimes saying no, and That is also self love. Sometimes I will wish you happy, and sometimes I will forgive you. Sometimes I will share gratitude and offer your name at my fluid altar. Sometimes I will disappear and that is also love. Sometimes I will flow in like a river, powerful and strong. This is the nature of things. To change, to flow to adapt.
