The Weirdling Passage Now accepting applications for the next round of my year long class on earth-based spirituality, in the neoCeltic, Faerie, and animist ways that I live, and continuously evolve from my experience and messages from spirit. Much of it is based on the ways of the cunning people of the British Isles before the lands were Christianized. When Europeans lived in ways that honored the earth and that spirits who dwell within all things. As the practices were driven deep underground through the coming of Jehovah’s priests, assimilation, and the Burning Times, they changed into folk traditions and customs passed each generation to the next, in whispers half-remembered. I was taught many of these practices by my Gran when I was tiny. It’s a spiritual way rooted in the magic of the earth and meant to be experienced. We use what knowledge that has been recovered, and we forge new traditions to work with the energies that surround us in the here and now. This will be a 13th month course starting this December. There will be a session that will introduce the class and basics of magic that will come into regular use as we go through the holy days of the year. We will meet a few days before and after each of the eight holy days, also known as Sabbats. Before each Sabbat, we will discuss the day, its significance, and its specific rituals. Just after each Sabbat, we will check in and share what we did and how things went for us, and cover additional information appropriate to the season. The Sabbats are: December 21, 2021 - Winter Solstice February 2, 2022 - Imbolc March 20, 2022 - Spring Equinox May 1, 2022 - Beltane June 21, 2022 - Summer Solstice August 1, 2022 - Lughnassad September 22, 2022 - Fall Equinox October 31, 2022 - Samhain December 21, 2022 - Winter Solstice Additionally, we’ll meet seven times between these sabbats, to focus on the moon cycles and additional information on energy, divination, magic, and witchery.
