Here’s something to ponder; these Tarozzi rearsets can be easily be made to work on this bike. Picture 1 shows the rearsets slightly forward - using an existing mounting point at the bottom (using the overly long lower engine bolt). Since the original foot pegs are gone, the lower engine bolt is exactly the right length to facilitate the rearsets being mounted in this position. The upper mounting hole on the rearsets would require the fabrication of a new mounting point. Easy, straight-forward fix, the drawback here is that the rearsets would be mounted on the outer aspect of the frame.

Picture 2 shows the rearsets in-line (flush) with the frame, and would require fabrication of all four mounting points. In either position, the pegs are in not as far back (or as high) as on other Honda 350 Four bikes (pictures 5 and 6).

It appears that most other 350Four projects retain the original rear foot peg brackets, utilizing them for the rearset mounting points. On your bike, those brackets have been removed, so it gives us a much broader array of options when deciding where the rearsets will be practically and comfortably located. We’ll have to come up with a solution for linkage to the shifter shaft, as well as the to the rear brake.

Bavarian Café... Now An Authorized Dealer of BMW Parts & Tarrozzi Clipons, Rearsets...

Friends, I have recently established a dealer account with a BMW OEM/Aftermarket parts manufacturer out of Germany and Tarrozi, Franco & Pablo (Clip-ons, Rearsets, Fork braces etc) out of Italy. The web-store will be a slow transition onto the site here. Not many items will be on hand in the beginning, but will be on a special-order basis.

Like many of you, when I first started rebuilding my vintage BMW into a café (or your vintage motorcycle) I would constantly search the net for BMW café racer related sites for reference and always had a difficult time finding information and building rapport with the builders. Hopefully this site can change that. My goal is to carry quality built parts and to inform & service those with patience in their vintage BMW builds.
