After a break for the summer - I’m back at it. And, what may one of the last OEM NEW OLD-STOCK tensioners, is now in our possession! All the way from Caracus, Venezuela, $60 USD plus $13 USD shipping.

Here’s that bugger-of-a-problem in the upper half of the crankcase. The thread in the left hole is damaged, and the cam chain tensioner mounts in this location. I have a specialty machine shop assessing the crankcase, and we’ll have a definitive idea of what repair can be done.

The parts from https://www.cruzinimage.net/  arrived today! Here’s the contents;

carb insulators (x4), carb rebuild kits (x4), head gasket (x1), 393cc pistons / rings / pins / clips (x4). VG quality on the piston and carb kits - but so-so quality on the carb insulators. It’s time now to get the cylinder block and new pistons off to the machine-shop!
