You know what was the funniest, most random, and weirdly intriguing Darth Maul ship I found? It wasn't with a clone (I dont think I have found one clone Maul wasn't shipped with, FoxMaul and CrossSith (Crosshair x Maul) are my favorites till now) or a jedi (also didn't found a jedi he wasn't shipped with, ObiMaul is my top one forever) or a mandalorian character (He just works out with mandalorians honestly, Maul x Din Dijarin is surprisingly peak) not one we have a lot of content from at least.
No, it wasn't even other sith characters. It was Darth Maul X Tarre Vizsla.
Yes, that Tarre Vizsla. The guy who made the darksaber. the first and only mandalorian/jedi. There's two fanfic on ao3 with their tag, one I didn't read that is a Tarre Vizsla and a lot of other characters too so I think him and Maul is just a side pairing, but I don't know. And theres the other one. That damm other one. It's an unfinished fic, because of course it is, with only one chapther. But that one chapther is so good. It seemed it would be focused on Tarre ghost hunting Maul as he became a better Mand'alor through the Darksaber, and it was a Savage survived, with a appearance of Feral ghost, Killindi AND Daleen mention, Rook appreciation with even a small cameo of Eldra Kaitis ghost!
It was just the concept of the fic but it was already so good and I wanted to cry when I saw it was almost a 1 year old. Like, you could tell it was someone who read about Maul and his characterization was so on point and I was actually thrilled to read more and see his relationship with Tarre happen 😭🥲🥹 (His only action in the whole chapter was a disturbingly romantic hunting scene at the end)
