Stuff that should have been up forever ago. We've moved on at least three AUs by now.
Tarsus is mine, Pirika belongs to sixthdimensional and Kaitos belongs to doctordischordia. But you probably knew this by now.

[Tarsus and Kai - expressions at the top and buying winter clothes for tropical highbloods at the bottom. Kai does not like mittens but does not want to lose them.
Also Kai belongs to doctordischordia ]
Illustraitor is a piece of shit and you have no idea how the company who designed this makes any profit. If there was any way you could download a common filetype vector editing program without loading your pan full of malware, hell, even just the malware that would make you compromised, you would. You would take popup ads for bulge enhancement over this hoofbeast shit.
You need to occupy your pan with something else before you throw the husktop at the wall. And incinerate the remains. Then bury them. In the volcano.

GK: Hey
GK: Hey Brewster
GK: Whâtchâ döin
you only really notice how very Americanised your language has become when you try and write a character who speaks very definitely British English
Here is your delivery of doofus moirail
Tarsus: Get out the truck
You get out into the public gathering plane and take a big, thankful breath in. The night is clear, the moons shine down in jewel tones of green and pink and the crisp, cold air nips at your fingers and horntips, but damn, it is good to be alive and out in the open.
And then you suddenly remember someone you spoke to a couple of nights ago who seemed in imminent danger of not being alive, and even when that was over didn't seem particularly happy about it.
You're frowning as you get the truck out of your tree modus (and then return all the blankets, beer bottles, lusus feathers and nutrition backs that its removal dislodged), and still frowning as you get into the cab and turn up the heat.
She was just a customer, you should forget about it. What's one more troll dead? There's not much you can do, you're too far out of your forest anyway, you should be getting back.
You can't forget about it.
You dig out your portable communicator and wrap the snuggleplane it dislodges from the modus around your shoulders. Nobody can say you didn't at least try.
arborealBrewster trolled grossularKeilhaue!
AB: Hey GK, how's it going? Still alive? 8>
Ariona: Have weird night
After you make it through the queue (FINALLY) and slough the sopor off, you slink back to the underground room and pull your clothes from yesterday back on- they're battered, but whatever, it'll do. You fish around in your pocket until you find your palmhusk.

CH: pf!! goddammit rusty why will you never tell me your damn name
CH: i am having the weirdest fuckin day. night. whatever.
CH: i was adventuring
CH: (as you do)
CH: and i got trapped in this bigass hailstorm and bashed my way into a building and met a tiny greenblood and a huge seadweller and slept and woke up and got in a fight! and the the fuckin greenblood bit me
CH: and i totally coulda culled him but i DIDNT aren't you proud of me haha
CH: cause i know you an VT woulda bitched me out and also he and his moirail are HELLA cute
CH: so anyway
CH: lost in the middle of nowhere
CH: sup with you
Tarsus: Wake
You sleep soundly, and do not dream. When you wake the following evening it's because you're rested, not because the sedative has run out, and you drift into the land of the living gently and pleasantly.
This does not last.
The instant you catch sight of the windowless wall you remember exactly where you are, how much hive is above you and how heavy it would be if it all collapsed in the next few seconds.
You're still covered in sopor so you can't panic properly, but you manage to flail your way out of your cupe, stagger sloppily over to Kaitos' already overcrowded cupe and fling yourself in on top of him.
You grab him by the shoulders and tell him urgently, 'Aaaagh.'
