Tarutaru gender and naming styles

You may have realized by now that tarutarus have different style names depending on the gender of the child being named.

Women get repetition of the same syllable within the name as a whole. Examples: Kupipi, Shantotto, Apururu, Cherukiki.

Men get repetition of the whole name with a change to the beginning of the name. Examples: Yoran-Oran, Koru-Moru, Ajido-Marujido, Robel-Akbel.

So, Kupa-Trupa would be the man counterpart to Kupipi, and Arutotto would be the woman counterpart to Artoo-detoo. This also means that other pop culture words, like Flip-Flop and Wingding, count as taru man names. And you may have realized by now that words like Panini and Labubu count as taru woman names.

Use this knowledge as you see fit.
