A sketch of Kea putting flowers in Ethan's hair.
With my taschevah species, they use their seasonally shed fur as a stuffing for bedding/pillows/coats/boots. As far as bedding and whatnot goes, they remove the stuffing every year in Spring, wash/clean it, dry it, mix with herbs, and re-stuff. Losing bedding is almost akin to losing family, because there are generations of familial fur inside them.
Sick with a cold so I doodled in bed. They aren't the best, but it's something. Friends, Ethan and Kea, hanging out.
Sketches.
That arcane elven angel (the clothes, really) kicked my ass. 😭 Put me far beyond my usual comfort zone.
Vash studies and the first TascheVash (my Taschevah species + Vash mashup) attempt! Just the basic to get at least the head similar enough to be recognizable?
Sketch studies/thoughts of Ethan after the crash of the escape pod into the forest that grows beyond Kea's village.
Kea trying to wash up an injured Ethan while Min'yuk rests nearby. Ethan should be covered in major wounds but I chose not to add them in this process.
So...this is actually part of the story line of my Tala'Nynn comic. I don't know what happened but, one of the songs I usually listen to that I always imagine this part taking place started playing and I got really into it. It's a sketch that I just decided to go to town on. I've been dealing with a lot of hardship when it comes to artwork recently so it makes me feel a bit better being able to hash something like this out.
I'm desperately hoping I can draw and paint like this again. I'm worried it won't match up as well when I get back to work on this comic.
