The Sprites and Spirits

Sprites are unique creatures. We humans (Which are called The Hands of Many), directly created them.

These sprites have the purpose of hearing our requests. When a sprite is made, they are born with special powers. Primarily, the ability to create life (though each one has slightly different functions).

First the sprites are made, then the ‘Hands of Many’ design their creations.

Sprites take the passion, energy, and mindset of the design’s creator to turn into energy. This energy is used to make spirit balls.

These spirit balls turn into the creation, giving those creations life.

When the creation dies, it reverts back to the form of a spirit.

The spirit can go to several places after that. It could either go back to the sprites and be remade as the same thing again, be remade as something else, wander the world hopeless, or disappear without a trace.

For those spirits that disappear, it is widely unknown where they go. Some say they’re gone forever. Some say they move on to another world. Others say they become great spirits that feed the world they lived in with wisdom.

More About BB

Easily the second most important sprite is the next in line to become The Mother Sprite. 

Like other sprites made by The Mother, they are sometimes called 'Daughter Sprites'. 

The current next in line is a sprite that calls themself "BB". However, "BB" is not their real name (Her real name is something like Beatrice).

Like most sprites, BB has the ability to stretch their body and shape-shift. While they are extremely flexible, those powers are not limitless. They can only stretch so much before they get tired. This makes them able to take multiple forms.

BB, while having great potential, is inexperienced. 

They have access to all knowledge of their universe, but have a difficult time accessing it. It's easier for them when they are prompted with an event or question.

Every once in a while, something will prompt BB to have visions of other universes. Though they have no control over it.

BB is extremely proud of their role. In fact, they have a tendency to shove it in people's faces.

As proud as they are, they really don't want responsibility over others. They just want to live a normal life.

An Heir to Mother

When choosing an heir, The Mother has many different options. Most Mothers do have preferences however.

One being that the sprite has one eye. It is not a requirement, but they like sprites that look more like themselves (Not all Mothers have one eye, but most of them do because of this). The other main reason Mothers usually choose sprites with one eye is because single eyed sprites tend to be one track minded. They can only see one point of view. Mothers like this because they can easily take advantage of them.

It is common for the first sprite the Mother produced to become the next in line. This is often because they share a special bond. It also assures that the next in line will be similar to the Mother before.

The Mother may also choose a sprite that they feel has potential (especially if the first two options aren't available).

One thing is required for the next in line. They must have the potential to see everything about their universe. This doesn't mean they will, but that they can learn easily. 

Some need exposure of the world in order for their powers to get stronger. 

If a sprite even had glimpses beyond their own universe, they are very powerful.

Once the next in line is chosen, another cannot be picked. The only exception to this rule is if the next in line dies. Then another has to be picked.

The Mother Sprite

There are many different types of sprites. The most important sprite, however, is the “Mother Sprite”.

They are a giant sprite who resides in a grove of trees.They’re so massive that they cannot move from the trees they hang onto.

This sprite is very special. They have knowledge of everything. They know everything, everyone, and every place in not just their universe; but in all universes and timelines.

While they may know everything, they hardly ever give any information to others. They only tell what people need to hear. ...Or at least what they believe they need to hear.

They protect their ‘all knowing’ eye with a thin, yet powerful, veil. They also keep their eye closed for most of the time.

This is because, when opened, the eye reveals all information of existence to those who see it. Those exposed don’t gain this knowledge for very long. It typically lasts only a few minutes.

Sprites don’t get any side effects from this. Normal creations, however, become paralyzed in confusion for a few minutes (or longer) after exposure.

The Mother Sprite also wears a magic tiara. It is what supposedly gives them the ability to know everything in existence. Without it, they just know everything about their universe (instead of knowing all).

While they are very knowledgeable, they cannot do much aside from that. However, they are very influential to other sprites and creatures. Sometimes they will try to use this in order to get what they want.

As of now, there is only one Mother Sprite. But she was not the only one to have existed, nor the last one to exist.

The mother also has the ability to make sprites using part of her body.

One of those sprites, the one with the most potential, will become the next Mother sprite.

The Mother should never run out of mass. In fact, their mass should stay around the same. This is because they can absorb surrounding energy and mass.

When the Mother gets to a certain age, they will grow weak and die. When the Mother dies, they dissolve into the air. Their mass floats in the air nearby.

The next Mother in line would go to the resting place of the dead Mother, and absorb their mass. They would then be crowned with the tiara and veil, and stay in that spot forever until they die.

A Mother also has the ability to die and dissolve at will. So they can do so if need be.

The Scribble Controversy

Under the guidelines of the current Mother, scribbles are senseless marks made by the Hands of Many, and do not deserve to exist as life forms.

Some sprites (especially those that sense energy, personality, and passion within the scribbles) oppose this mindset. They believe scribbles are a genuine type of work from The Hands of Many.

This group runs seperate from the other sprites, and works to make sure scribbles have a place in the universe. They call themselves “Son Sprites”.

Other sprites call them “Rebel Sprites”. The followers of The Mother do everything in their power to stop the ‘Rebels’ and keep them at bay.

Sprite Types

Some types of sprites include Leaf Sprites (Experts of Plants), Earth Sprites (Experts of soil and everything beneath it), Space Sprites (Experts of well... Outer Space), Sky Sprites (Experts of the sky between a planet and space), Water Sprites (Experts of uhhh Water), Seeker Sprites (They have the ability to track spirit balls within their universe), and Tattler Sprites (Experts on sprites. They like to gossip and are knowledgeable on sprite intentions, actions, and locations).

Some Sprites are hybrids of different sprite types. For example, BB is a hybrid of an Earth and Tattler sprite.

All these sprites are made to work alongside The Mother Sprite. However, there is a group that goes against The Mother.
