Role/weapon for a Tashmarine? Pls and thank you!
Tashmarine is a rare variety of diopside that’s a recent-ish discovery (it was discovered in the 21st century). There are no metaphysical properties on it, but we can use diopside and information on this gem to help us out.
Roles: Tashmarine is a mix of the words “tash” (short for Tashkent, the city of capital city of Uzbekistan) means stone and marine refers to the ocean or sea. It was named as such in order to symbolically connect Asia and Europe together, as the Tashkent was an important trade point on the old Silk Road between China and Europe. There’s a number of things you can do with this. Firstly, Tashmarine could be a kind of diplomat who keeps the peace between gems, often known for finding compromises or solutions. Secondly, they could be a gem known to keep others in line. This could also could fit in a diplomatic role, but I can see this being done in a military setting. This is a gem to go to when another starts acting out of line. Lastly, on the lighter side, they act as delivery gems, sending important resources, gems, or technology to other gem colonies.
Weapons: Going back to its name, because it was meant to connect Europe and Asia, we should use weapons that symbolize that. So I think weapons connected together or dual wield weapons are very appropriate. Here are some examples: nun-chucks, ball and chain, two or three sectioned staff, chain whip, flails (like the Russian flail and Chigiriki), meteor hammers, Kyoketsu-shoge, chain sickle, harpoon gun, rope dart, deer horn knives, hook swords, Kusari-fundo, etc. Double handed weapons are acceptable too. Diopside is said to be a stone of love so a crossbow or bow and arrow can be used for Tashmarine too. Diopside is also a creative stone so you could give Tashmarine weapons that revolve around art supplies (brushes, ink pens, carving tools, etc) or a multi-purpose tool.
