Winter

Yuri - Es ella más que yo

The winter months of 2020 were particularly difficult for Korra. January was never her favorite month, with her father’s birthday coming up Korra knew she’ll again be reminded of him, and as before ignored the reminders as they came from her parents. In early February she found out her boyfriend cheated on her. It hurt the girl but she was so used to living with this person, having him around that she chose to work through things. The two stayed together and started what she described as a healing process.

Spring

Even thought Korra chose to work through things, being a psychology major as she decided that talking through the feelings and making sense of things. But what that actually meant was just pain for her and obvious indifference for him. Korra’s boyfriend did seem like he was sorry, but more so it seemed like he just wanted to move passed this awkwardness. Korra started spending less and less time at home. Being more with her friends ignited some jealousy episodes from him but that’s not why she did it and this just gave her one more red flag that this is a failing relationship.

Summer

The first month of summer was like a breath of fresh air for Korra. She went to see her family as she missed her sister’s birthday in spring and wanted to catch up for missed time. While there she also re-connected with some of her high school friends and spent some fabulous nights in Jacksonville clubs. They even went to Miami for an overnight stay of fun and shenanigans. Even before she came back to Atlanta she knew she’s not going back to her old apartment, while living at her parents she organized herself an interview for a room in a commune. Once she was back she went there with all her bags and left them while she came to her apartment to collect her stuff. She left her now-ex-boyfriend a text and only spoke to him briefly at parties of mutual friends ever since. It was hard at first as her uni friends started to choose sides but she didn’t let it bother her and went felt like she finally found her old self by the end of the summer. Back in charge of her life, bubbly, flirty and having as much fun as she wanted.

Autumn

FEM’d - Me llamo yo

Korra was living in the commune and despite loving to always have who to talk to or go out with she did find that living with over ten people was getting on her nerves. In September the law firm she was working had announce of opening an office in LA. Korra felt back in control of her life and ready for a new challenge, at least that’s what she told herself so she put in an application for transfer. But then after fair bit of partying and going on random dates she met Tash, who was just her kind of person. The two got a long so well and had effortless chemistry. Korra’s housemates looked at the pair skeptically saying that Tash is just Korra’s rebound after the long relationship. The pair proved to be strong and carried on dating for the two months Korra stayed in Atlanta, but later said it’s better for them to separate as friends. Korra was more than ready to start a new chapter and move to the city of stars. She came in late November and was keeping busy organizing the unfurnished apartment she rented.

In the month Korra had been in SL she tried her best to meet as many people as she could to surround herself with new interesting personalities and eventually have friends to turn to. The highlight of December was a group call with her family over her birthday which she followed up with an impromptu night out by herself. Korra had also realized living in Cali doesn’t come cheap and started working a second job as a bar-staff at Los Globos, she absolutely loves the vibe there and thinks she’d spend her time there anyway so is glad she’s at least getting paid for it. She is still making her round in figuring out who are her friends and foes but she feels in charge of herself and happy about where she is in life.
