Celebrating 10 Years!
Day Four: Sequel styles?
~*~
Gart, don't worry so much; we'll be fine!

What I want more than anything for a sequel would be a double plot. I don't think they've done parallel stories in this series yet, and I think it would be so cool to have double adventures in the same place. I don't know if switching between timelines would be linear and scripted, or if the player could jump between timelines at will, but I think it would be wonderful to have a story like this:
In his knighthood, Graham went to a cave bursting with star worshipers, intent on rescuing a lost item of Daventry's past.
In the present, Gwendolyn, Gart, and Taskia (with their dragon companion) go to the same, now long abandoned, cave, seeking something important Graham left behind.
The game then alternates between the two timelines. A lever Graham pulls in the past affects the present. The present kids may have access to rooms Graham is blocked from as the place decays, giving the player hints on where to guide the knight in the past. Items move from timeline to timeline in strange magical ways, or you simply need to move things out of reach in one timeline to a more accessible shelf in the other.
The same sort of mechanics would follow the kids in the other chapters, too, each one in a new place as they follow a Valanice story, a Rosella story, an Alexander story.
(The Valance story would probably be about how to be royal, Gart would probably show huge love for Daventry in the Rosella story, and Gwen would realize in the Alex story that she needs to let him have Daventry, she loves the green isles and home too much, and the world is at peace for now.)
