Taskmaster Rewatch: series 8

I think the house theme has crossed into a background thing into a full theme.

I like the balance of really simple tasks like erase an eraser or team charades with a box and more complex ones like pretend to be one person or get to Alex without him seeing.

I've seen that some people don't love this cast but that could never be me. I think this cast is hilarious. I think Iain's angry puppy energy is overshadowed by being in-between James Acaster and Ed Gamble's series but he has to be one of the most easily frustrated contestants. I also really appreciate how genuinely apologetic he is about speaking poorly to Lou and Paul, like his anger can be entertaining but he knows when he crosses a line for certain people. I love Lou's absolute chaos attitude that is some how super successful. She says whatever is in her head and somehow it's always ridiculous and funny. I love the stumbling borderline depressive but surprisingly athletic and intelligent Joe. I love how obsessed with glitter Sian is and how on more than one occasion she just keeps going after she knows she's failed a task. I like how Paul is so clearly a genius but rarely works out a sensible way to complete a task.

8/10 - I think it might be a season people forget about or underrate but I just don't think that's fair.

X is for xcellent

In series 8, they had to bring in something for a doctor. Joe Thomas brought in a bmx bike where he says bmx stands for Bicycle my xcellent bicycle. I love Joe on taskmaster but I really loved his episode of off menu, I think about his episode all the time.

X was a hard one to come up with but what will Y be?
