The McKinnon family was considered filled with some of the best wizards and witches of the age. Both parents were working in Magical Enforcement, as well as children spanning many careers including Auror, Healer, Curse-Breakers, and high-profile Department of Mysteries personnel. Marlene is the only one left in school, and there is a thirteen year age gap between Marlene, the youngest (18) and Robert, the oldest (31). Their parents married when Marlene’s mother was sixteen, and her father was twenty four, and now have been married nearly thirty-five years.

Summary: Both extremely easy to read and nearly impossible to truly figure out, Nora has spent her adult life leading a fairly uncomplicated existence. Her face will betray her if she's expected to lie for any reason, but she knows when to speak and how much she needs to say to avoid any questions she might not want to answer. As much as she would love to be the mysterious, dramatic female hero of her own story, the truth is much more simple; she's a quick learner and knows what is expected of her. Still, she's not some artful manipulator, either, nor is she interested in becoming one. Truly, she's much too soft-hearted for that.

Wanted plots

Nora might dream of an easier life filled with some sort of wealth, but her loyalties lie with the working class and those with similar circumstances to her. Someone could potentially exploit said loyalties and make her more sympathetic to whatever cause they themselves believe in.

That being said, she does have perhaps unearned admiration and loyalty towards whatever lady or family she's serving. Her devotion and love cannot be bought, but she's not above being bribed with either material goods or social capital. So, please test her. It's going to be torturous for her.

THE POTTER HOME:

Rangemore Hall, Rangemore, Burton-on-Trent

After Fleamont Potter sold his successful company, producing the now world-famous Sleekeazy’s Hair Potion, the vastly wealthy Potters bought Rangemore Hall, well outside the limitations of London, where they could live freely with their young son, James. The home boasts seven bedrooms and nine baths, meaning there is a place for all of James’ best mates to stay whenever they came to visit, and where Sirius Black ( @morallyblack ) now resides with the Potters.

THE MCKINNON HOME:

Borthwick Hall, Heriot, Midlothian

In 1828 the McKinnon family purchased Borthwick Hall, a small Scottish castle ten miles outside of Edinburgh. There are many enchantments placed there by Marlene’s grandfather, who occupied the home prior to the McKinnon clan moving in there fully, as to let the Wizarding family live free with their ‘’gifts’’ (as he liked to describe it to local muggles in the pub) without interruption.
