Tassista! She is so cute, I love her. I will also admit I used a character from Squid Games as a minor reference, I can't recall their name since I didn't watch the show but I liked them from what I saw.
Onto the actual character, Tass joined the yard when she was semi young. Somewhere between 12 to fifteen in human years before she transitioned to her actual self. In that time she was really quiet, not that confident unless it came to standing up to those who tried to upset Belle. So, she tended to keep her interests to herself, or in some cases making up excuses about them. For example, she used to lie about learning to make bows for Belle cause she liked them and her brother Hermes wouldn't shut up about them... Consequencely, that also founded a friendship between those two, cause he would let her practicing tying bows in his hair as he didn't see an issue with it.
When they got older, she started to become more comfortable with herself and her identity. So, anytime the Diesel gang would try to poke fun or just be idiots, she would shut them up. If Electra can have powers, I'm saying other characters can have powers. Sleepers know or can help you sleep, Dining cars know what you want or what you need, etc. In Tass's case, she can make others quiet. But only their voice, that doesn't stop them from making noise in other ways.
A friend told me this, and I forget what it is called but the actor who plays Tass and the friend have this thing makes certain sounds not nice to listen to. I'm sorry if I can't explain it well, but I would also like to apply it to Tass as it makes sense for them to have it as well.

On that note, you can't tell me they wouldn't have headphones to block out external noise if it gets to much for them. Plus I can see them knowing hand signs, again, I forget the proper word. But noise and talking being too much? Hand signs to talk instead.
