The sound of Camren's voice ringing out from behind her, caused the blonde to freeze, a chill jolting up the length of her spine. Panic slowly began to bleed into her bright eyes as she took a stumbling step back, bumping into the brunette. "No… I-I thought that was you-" Her words were a whisper, her gaze locked on the towering figure before them. Now taking in the masked person's height and build, it was idiotic that she'd even considered the two being the same. "Who are you?!" Daphne demands, but the figure remains silent, opting to take a massive step forward. "Holy-" Spinning around to face Carmen, her hand drops to take hers, tugging her. "We should go. NOW!"

"it's not —— they're not based on you." except yeah, the love interest in his newest novel is kind of (completely) based on them. "are there a couple of similarities? sure. but i came up with that character all on my own."

the guilt was starting to eat away at her, leaving her with an impossible decision to make. she could either confess to what brought them together in the first place or she could continue living in ignorant bliss. just as she was working through the thoughts scrambled around in her mind, the other's voice broke her thoughts and she quickly turned her head to look at them. "hi, yeah, sorry. i was just really in my head. i'm good, i swear."

"I know we swore we wouldn't talk about it…" Sapphire-freckled hues dart to survey their surroundings, ensuring prying eyes weren't intruding on them. "But someone fucking knows." The words sent a quiver along her spine, the depth of her stomach coiling tightly. "…I got a note." There is a pause as her gaze returns to land on Carmen, her hand lifting to place a small sheet of paper between them on the table. "And unless you're the one fucking with me, we have a problem."
