This homemade Maple Bourbon Jalapeno Bacon is the perfect combination of sweet, smoky, and spicy flavors. The maple syrup and bourbon glaze caramelizes beautifully on the bacon, while the jalapeno peppers add a delightful kick. It's a delicious treat with no preservatives!
Ingredients: 1 pound of thick-cut bacon. 1/4 cup of pure maple syrup. 2 tablespoons of bourbon. 2 jalapeno peppers, thinly sliced seeds removed for milder flavor. 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
Instructions: In a small bowl, combine the maple syrup, bourbon, and black pepper. Mix well. Place the bacon slices in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the maple bourbon mixture over the bacon and add the sliced jalapeno peppers. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate the bacon in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor. Preheat your oven to 375F 190C. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Remove the bacon from the marinade and place it on the wire rack, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and caramelized. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your homemade Maple Bourbon Jalapeno Bacon!
