Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/4 tsp salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/2 cup whole milk. Cupcake toppers store-bought or homemade. Frosting of your choice store-bought or homemade. Food coloring optional.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a cupcake pan with paper liners. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and stir in the vanilla extract. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients alternately with the milk until the batter is smooth. If desired, add food coloring to achieve your desired cupcake color. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean. Let the cupcakes cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once the cupcakes are cool, frost them with your favorite frosting. You can pipe the frosting on for a decorative touch. Decorate each cupcake with cupcake toppers of your choice. Serve and enjoy!
