Tata Beach

Ma première après midi à la plage depuis le début de mon voyage !

Me voila dans les hauteurs de Tata Beach 

 Golden Bay à une forme très particulière, c’est un immense demi cercle qui sépare la mer de Tasman de la côte Est de l’Île du Sud. Peu importe où l’on ce trouve l’on voit toujours une partie de la baie à l’horizon.

The guys have been loving Takaka & been living around here for almost 2 weeks now! It is a laid back town most people have described to me as a ‘hippy town’. We walked around the town for a bit, browsed the market & kicked back & watched a skate competition at the skate park. The guys joined in & were the oldest people in the contest by about 10 years. They won 1st & 2nd prize in their categories & were delighted! Bless them.

  We went to Tata beach & relaxed. The guys picked mussels on the way & cooked them in the sunset. The views were incredible as the sunset on the horizon & behind the mountains. People had beachfront homes & were having dinner & drinks with friends, enjoying the sunset – bliss.

What a perfect 1st day roadtrippin with the guys.

I stayed at Barefoot backpackers* in Takaka. The hosts were really welcoming & friendly & it was a really homely hostel (although the internet wasn’t great).
