Weekly World Music: “Chi Kareli (It’s Not Acceptable)” - Tata Simonyan

I’ve been concentrating a lot on folk music lately, and wanted to bring some more modern sounds into the mix. I thought I’d start off with some Armenian pop brought to us by singer Tata Simonyan. According to Wikipedia Simonyan is very popular in homeland as well with the Armenian diaspora and has received a number of awards, including “the title of the Honored Artist of Armenia in 2006, and [a nomination] for "King of Pop" in Moscow in 2008."
