Tiridates III was king of Armenia, saint and founder of Armenian church.

In 301 AD he declared the Christianity to official religion. So Armenia became the first christianly state of the world.

By the way - the church Sankt Hripsime was built at the place of Gethsemane of Hripsime which happened about 300 AD
